150 days until I am a Mrs!

Today begins the countdown! As if I needed another activity added to my never ending to do list, I figured why not, something to reflect on down the road. And here begins my blog...

A little back story to start this off right. I am marrying my best friend in 150 days! We began dating a little over 3 years ago and soon will be husband and wife. I have been blessed with many things in life and Jason is on the top of my blessings list. He has stood by me through the hardest days I have had to face and always does it with class and a certain sense of ease about him. He is not only my best friend, but my foundation... and what better way to start a marriage than with a solid foundation.

Life hasn't always been so easy for us, for me I have had many trials and tribulations throughout this relationship and somehow have come out of it a stronger, better person.

In July of 2008, I lost my true foundation, my mother. She passed suddenly and without warning and left my family with a huge hole to fill....we will never be quite "whole" again. You see, she was our backbone, our cheer leader, our strength and when that is taken away from you, some are lucky to have someone to hold you up, some unfortunately are not so lucky. I am one of the lucky ones.

Through the past few years it has been tough to manage the day to day grind, even more so now that we are planning the happiest day of our life without her by my side.  I have learned a lot with out her here and have tried to stayed true to her dream of my wedding, I can hear her voice in every small detail...I will plan my wedding to my best friend, with pride, with heart and most of all with love... because that is what my mother taught me.

A mother may be lost in sight and touch but her heart always stays within her children. So, this is the story of one of Patricia's children.... planning the happiest day of her life...
